More Stuff I've Done

Have you ever read the Indian parable about the blind men and the elephant? A group of blind men touch an elephant in order to understand what it "looks" like. Each of the men, having touched a completely different part of the animal from the others, describes a radically different beast.

So, that's sort of how I feel about my career. Some people think I'm a cookbook editor, some a food writer, some a magazine food editor, some a recipe developer, some a nutrition analyst, some a recipe/copy editor, and some a cookbook indexer. (I also like to think of myself as a junior-level techno-geek and database expert, but most people don't quite grok that.)

I've just done a whole bunch of different stuff. And most people have trouble imagining that a person could possibly have more than one skill. [hahahaha . . . or LOL if I'm being old-fashioned]

(Um, I also have a resumé, but it felt creepy posting it here. Contact me through this blog and I'll send it to you.)
